Many years ago we arrived at Yuli Township and built this beautiful home by the mountainside together with our family. In 2004, we opened up the doors of our home to become everyone’s home, by turning it into a homestay — Wisdom Garden.
Our homestay is a large armchair that sits stably at the base of the Central Mountain Range, to the left and right the verdant mountains are its armrests, the Coastal Mountain Range in the horizon...
Yuli Township is located at the southern end of Hualien County, with Ruisui as its neighbour to the north, and to the south, Fuli and Chihshang. It nestles within East Rift Valley, with the Central Mountain Range to the west, and to the east is the Coastal Mountain Range...
This lovely little family-run b&b is set back in the mountains, and features fresh air and wildlife in abundance. The bed and room itself were exceedingly comfortable, clean and quite pretty; a mix of traditional and modern touches (there are a couple of designers in the family and it shows). Homemade breakfast as well was a treat. The night we showed up hot and tired on our bikes after a 70km trip (with all of our stuff in our paneer bags), the family was also kind enough to help us buy a box dinner in town so that we did not have to bike back down and up the mountain.

Wonderful stay
This place is something else! Located in a quiet and hidden green area, this place has authentic touch. Our room was big, with Huge windows and interesting furniture. The staff was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay.

We had the best time at Wisdom Garden
The host family are the nicest and most helpful people. They picked us up from the station, since we’ve arrived pretty late in the evening, served the most delicious breakfasts and hosted us at their beautiful home. They also gave us really good food recommendations in town and helped us rent bicycles. The house is located in a very quiet area, a bit far from the center of Yuli but very close to the forest. It’s a perfect place to relax in beautiful surroundings. It was a pleasure to stay there. 🙂

Peaceful stay in the lush mountains
The scenery here is beautiful but what makes the stay so special is the kindness of the owners. They really go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. The breakfast is huge & delicious.
